“With a Passive House, what’s affecting the design is, we’re worshiping the sun.” – Paul Castrucci, Founder & Principal of Paul A. Castrucci Architects (PCA)

In its past lives, 702 Hancock’s site housed a horse stable and later, a gritty car repair shop. Today, it has been transformed into eight market-rate condos built to Passive House standards—a forward-thinking evolution that complements Bed Stuy’s historic charm while embracing a sustainable future.

Equipped with an Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) system and a large solar array powering its heating and cooling, this building’s energy-efficiency measures slash utility costs and keep temperatures comfortable year-round. Join the project team to see how 702 Hancock challenges convention and proves that cost-effective, resilient, low-carbon, and healthy buildings can be NYC’s new normal—one project at a time.

Saturday Tours: 12:30 & 2:30pm
Half-hour walk-through tours of building features, each followed by an optional 30-minute Q&A, will be led by Paul Castrucci, a pioneer in Passive House design in New York City, known for completing the city’s first Passive House Net Zero building, R-951 Residence.
We're cycling toward a world free of MS, and this year, Rezwan will be riding the 702 bike which will be raffled off after our first closing!

So far, we've raised $1,200 and biked over 333 miles in our efforts to make a difference.

Our team for Bike MS – a fundraising ride aimed at transforming the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis – is stronger than ever. MS is a devastating, unpredictable disease, but every mile we pedal and every dollar we raise brings us closer to a world without it. We're proud to say the SBN team has 5 riders, including 3 former SBN clients!

We are gearing up to go the distance with our training and commitment, and we'd love for you to join us in this incredible experience.

If you'd like to support us, please donate or even join our team! We've set an ambitious goal, but with your help, we believe we can achieve it.

Make a difference today, donate and help us reach our goal!

Join us for an event showcasing how eco-friendly choices can make a significant impact on our planet and our health. Every door is open for you to explore our sustainable living panel, household item swap, climate cafe, passive house exhibition, homemade showcase, and more.
